Actions on Google
As a sound designer at Google I worked with engineers, product managers, and conversation designers to create sounds for Actions on Google, a website dedicated to helping 3rd party developers create enjoyable applications for the Google Assistant.
These sound sets were made for the Trivia Action—an easy-to-create, question-and-answer voice interaction that could have a variety of uses.
My goal in the creation of these sound sets was to make the Trivia Action fun and seamless. I worked with conversation designers and developers to ensure that each sound set fit with each persona. I have included a video of the interaction and the audio files used for each character.

Sound Layering Audio Demos
In addition to creating the sounds for the Trivia Action, I also worked with developers at Google to establish audio parameters for new sound layering technology for the Google Assistant.
This involved me designing the sounds that would be played together during the Action, and then working with developers to fine-tune the timing and duration of those sounds.
The ability to have sounds play at the same time as the Assistant voice speaks creates a new level of depth in these voice experiences. Below are three examples of how this technology sounds.
